Birthday Celebration

This weekend, I celebrated my 25th birthday in many of the best ways I knew how (the only thing missing was a celebration with friends, which will occur next weekend).

On Friday afternoon, I met my mom for lunch and then went to get my hair cut. I had never been to the salon before (I found it online) and it ended up being in an ADORABLE neighborhood (the South Wedge), so after my appointment mom & I each had a glass of wine at a little cafe.

Afterwards, my sister met mom & I at my apartment and we hung out there for a few hours. At about 5pm, we picked up Sean from work and met my dad, grandma & aunt for dinner at a local Italian restaurant. We had a really nice meal (so nice, in fact, that even my grandma ordered a cosmo)!

We all went back to my apartment for a little while after dinner so that I could open my gifts and eat (homemade) cake!

Bright & early the next morning, Sean and I met my aunt Barb & uncle Jim at the Rochester Public Market, which was an awesome experience (even if it began way, way too early for a Saturday).

My sweetheart aunt treated me to breakfast, including a delicious pumpkin latte.

Sean and I just relaxed around the house for the day and then went out to Label 7 in Pittsford for dinner. Everything from the water (served in glass milk bottles) to the decor to the food to the cocktails was amazing. I had a grapefruit cosmo which was to die for!

After dinner, we went to the Rochester Broadway Theatre League to see Idina Menzel perform (she is a Broadway actress who was in Wicket and Rent, among other things). She is incredibly talented and put on an amazing show.

On Sunday, we went to my hometown for the afternoon to carve pumpkins with my dad and sister.

Overall, I had a GREAT birthday weekend and look forward to celebrating with my friends next weekend.

I hope you all had a good one, too!
