House progress

We officially have a house!

We closed on Monday and have been working helping my dad strip wallpaper and paint before our move-in day on Saturday. We've He has gotten a lot done since he started on Tuesday, so here are some "in progress" photos!

Living Room - painted!

Master bedroom - painted!

The brown in the living room looks a little darker than I envisioned, but with the molding painted white and our furniture/decorations, I think it'll look very Pottery Barn-esque. The bedroom also isn't quite what I expected - I imagined a dull light green and this is much bolder and brighter than expected. BUT, it's a) just paint and easy to fix if we eventually decide to do so! and b) might look a lot better once our furniture is all set up. It's always hard to get the full picture when the room is empty.

Today's main project is painting molding and the kitchen/dining area and painting the main bathroom. Anything that doesn't get done today will be a Friday project, along with a quick mop of the hardwoods with Murphy's Oil Soap to add cleanliness and shine.

I can't wait for Saturday! I will post many more pictures once we're moved in & settled :]
