Y{our} first house!
Dear baby,
Monday was a very big day for your daddy & I - we closed on our first house! It's a little ranch with 3 bedrooms, a big kitchen/dining area (with tons of cabinet and counter space) and a nice backyard with a deck. This week, our current apartment is in complete disarray as most of our belongings are boxed up. We haven't cooked a good homemade meal in the past few days and we are really looking forward to getting moved in and settled on Saturday! Your grandpa has been working hard all week to get wallpaper stripped and painting done so that the house will be all ready for us.
Once the movers get all of our furniture and boxes unloaded, your daddy and I plan on unpacking, decorating and organizing all night Saturday (and into Sunday) so that we can relax in our new home with the awesome realization that we don't have to move again for a longggg time - moving is such a pain!
Right now, this house is just a house. But I hope that by the time you read this, we have made memories as our little family of 3 (maybe eventually 4 or 5!). I hope that you climb in the tree in the front yard and are able to look around your neighborhood with pride and comfort. I hope you appreciate all of the holiday (and day-to-day) traditions that we might not have even begun yet. I hope that you run around the backyard and play with Pollyanna as often as the weather isnice reasonable. I hope that we
build snowmen in the front yard in the winter and trick-or-treat
throughout the neighborhood in the fall. I hope that this house becomes a
home that you grow to love.
