Happy Six Months, Baby Charlotte!
Dear Baby Charlotte,
On Monday, you turned SIX months old. To say that the past six months have flown by would be an understatement. Your daddy and I have enjoyed every second of watching you grow into a determined, happy, beautiful little girl who is already seeming much less like a little baby and more like a little person!
Thank you for filling our days with joy!
Love,
On Monday, you turned SIX months old. To say that the past six months have flown by would be an understatement. Your daddy and I have enjoyed every second of watching you grow into a determined, happy, beautiful little girl who is already seeming much less like a little baby and more like a little person!
You
have developed so many charming traits, Charlotte. You are a very
strong baby and enjoy "standing" (as long as we're holding you up),
scooting, rolling, and are trying with all your might to crawl. You can
get onto all fours but then you kind of teeter and don't know what to do
- so usually you just lunge forward and land on your belly.
You
love chewing on Sophie the Giraffe (which reminds me an awful lot of a
dog toy, to be honest!), bouncing, playing in your Exer-Saucer, and
giggling. You have developed quite the little appetite and have grown
partial to apples, bananas, pears, and don't seem to love peaches or
green beans as much. Your indifferent towards many other foods, but it's
very obvious when you love or hate something. Regardless, you're
fascinated whenever we eat and you often try to grab it right out of our
hands!
If
we sit you up, you can stay put for a little while before falling to
one side or the other. You can't sit up on your own yet but you try
mightily to do so. I'm certain that you have strong little tummy muscles
that will be prepared to sit you up independently in no time at all.
Your daddy and I jokingly refer to your little legs as "thunder thighs" because they've grown to be pretty chunk (and adorable).
We are thrilled to finally be able to see them since the weather is
finally warming up and you can wear all of the cute shorts and dresses
that are filling your closet!
You
are starting to recognize people and get very smiley & squirmy when
you see someone you know. It warms my heart to see you when I get home
from work because you start smiling immediately. I can't imagine how
it'll feel to hear you say "mommy"!
Your
daddy and I love you more than we could ever say, and in a way that you
surely will not understand until you have children of your own. So for
now, we pray that you can at least feel how very much you are loved.
Thank you for filling our days with joy!
Love,
Mommy
