Liebster Award

Recently, I was nominated for the Liebster Award by Sarah. This award is given to up & coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers.

Liebster is a German word and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.

I'm thrilled to participate and appreciate the nomination! Here are the answers to my questions:

1. What made you start blogging? 

I was a Creative Writing major in college and have always thought that writing is therapeutic. Since life has been pretty amazing lately, I thought it would be fun to share my story & try to make some new friends in the process!

2. What is the one object in your home that best reflects your personality? 

Probably the throw pillows on our couches; we have very plain looking brown couches and our matching brown pillows never added any excitement to our living room. A few months ago, we went shopping at Marshall's and found some beautiful throw pillows that have fun green patterns on them. I think they reflect my personality because they're kind of loud but equally fun, bright, and comfortable :)

3. If there were to be a zombie apocalypse, what would be your weapon of choice? 

Pepper spray. (No idea why, really, but it's the first thing that came to mind. Would that even help me in any way? I have no idea.)

4. Do you actually have that weapon easily accessible? 

Nope!

5. If you had to choose one movie to best represent your life what would it be? 

Love Actually.

6. If someone were to write a book about your life do you believe it would be a best seller? 

Absolutely not. My life has been rather average/boring, but I honestly wouldn't have it any other way.

7. If you were told that in order to save the world you would have to permanently leave your family and life- would you do it? 

I have too many quetstions! Save the world from what? Do I know for certain that I could, in fact, do it? What would happen after the world was saved that would prevent me from seeing my family? I can't answer this question... it's too deep for a Wednesday afternoon!

8. Are you musically gifted? 

I don't think I'd say "gifted," but musicality runs in my family. I'm a singer & piano player, but really only do either from the comfort of my own home.

9. If you could talk to your 18 year old self, what would be the one bit of advice you would give her? 

Trust in God that things will happen the way the happen for your benefit. And spend more time with your grandma Joan... you will miss her terribly when she is gone.

10. Before you leave your house what do you make sure is in your bag? 

My keys. I wouldn't get too far without them.

11. Where do you see your blog this time next year?

Only time will tell... but hopefully, I'll have more followers. Maybe it'll take a bit of a content twist & turn... we will see!
