We found "the one"!
After a short (but very hectic) house hunt, Sean & I found "the one"! It's perfect for us. It's a small ranch with 3 bedrooms, a large eat-in kitchen (with tons of cabinet & counter space), an attached garage, hardwood floors, a deck, beautiful landscaping... the list goes on! We found out over the weekend that our offer was accepted, which means that we're now onto the "inspection" phase. I'll be much more excited (and less anxious) when the inspection goes well, though I have no good reason to believe that it won't.
As we analyzed our house hunting process, I realized how similar it was to dating. Here's what I mean.
We explored a lot of houses (some more seriously than others) by analyzing their features and trying to decide if they lined up with what we were looking for.
Sometimes, a house would appear to be really pretty on the outside, but as we explored the interior we realized that it was actually cheap & crappy.
Compromises were made, but we were able to decide which compromises were worth making.
When we saw "the one," we knew right away.
We were tricked by 2 other houses into thinking that they were "the one" until we inspected them more thoroughly and realized that we were wrong.
Even though it wasn't really their decision, we kept our parents in the loop because we wanted their stamp of approval before making such a huge decision.
This list could go on (and on, and on) but you get the idea!
Once the inspection is successfully completed, I'll post some pictures & talk about the specifics, but for now, please join me in my excitement!!!!!!!
