Things you've learned that school won't teach you.
I like this prompt, because it forces you to think about
life as the class that lasts forever. I think some of the most important life lessons I have learned have been outside of school, and they include (but are not limited to) the following...
- Bad things happen to everyone, at one point or another, and everyone responds to these things differently - some people respond with drugs or other escape mechanisms while other people respond with kindness and faith. When bad things happen to you, respond with the latter.
- Actions speak louder than words, but words still matter.
- Do your best not to my assumptions about people, because you never know (until you know).
- Your work should be a part of your life... not the other way around.
- People can (and do) change. It doesn't happen often, but it can happen (for better or for worse).
- Things don't matter as much as people do.
- Memories are a beautiful thing. Write the happiest ones down so you always have them available when you need them most.
- Enjoy each day!
Great lessons! I especially agree with the actions and words one.
