Disney Babymoon

Last week, Sean & I traveled south to (mostly) sunny Orlando, FL for a 6-day "babymoon" to Disney World. We had a wonderful vacation! Please enjoy some of the highlights of our trip.

  • Our hotel room was upgraded from a "standard" (parking lot) view to a room with a balcony and PERFECT views of the Epcot fireworks!
  • Since we didn't get each other anything for our 2 year wedding anniversary in June (and considered this our gift to each other!) we proudly wore "Anniversary" pins around the parks every. single. day. Plus, we got the last two anniversary pins that they had. A sign?! I think so!

  • Because we wore our pins everywhere, people wished us a happy anniversary constantly, which was wonderful... but the best part is that we got LOTS of free dessert! What a treat!

Ok... this wasn't a free dessert, but it was a free non-alcoholic
frosty treat at Gaston's Tavern in Magic Kingdom!

  • We ate a lot of delicious food, most of which was in Epcot (our favorite park). We enjoyed cuisine from Morrocco, Italy and China and some snacks from Germany & France.
  • We rode some of our alltime favorite rides, including The Haunted Mansion, Winnie the Pooh, It's a Small World, Pirates of the Carribean, Gran Fiesta in Mexico, Maelstrom in Norway, Living with the Land, Soarin', Spaceship Earth.... plus many shows and productions that were fabulous, too.
  • We both felt our baby girl moving around like crazy - she must already be a Disney lover!
Overall, we enjoyed a fabulous time away from "real life" and really savored each other's company. But at the same time, we couldn't help but marvel at the fact that, next time we go on vacation to Disney (or anywhere, for that matter) we will be parents and will have a little girl in tow. And we couldn't be more excited for that adventure!
