In just
two short weeks (from
yesterday, no less), Sean & I will be en route to our "babymoon" in Walt Disney World! I am so, so excited for our trip - reservations are made for most of our meals, our transportation to/from the airport/hotel, and airplane size-approved carryon items have been purchased - but I am mostly looking forward to enjoying some time away from the office and with my sweet husband. As much as I love my job (and I do love my job!), I am in need of a getaway.
Yesterday, I went home early because I was feeling really dizzy & nauseous. The computer is definitely a trigger, and with summertime meaning fewer student appointments, more of my days are spent working on projects on the computer. Our secretary pointed out that I have been going (pretty much non-stop) since our move into the house 2 weekends ago. Since that time, we have tackled numerous projects around the house (not the least of which was getting
everything unpacked in 1.5 days and hosting a 4th of July housewarming party 5 days later) and I haven't taken a day off from work throughout that whole time. Perhaps the dizziness was my body's way of telling me to
slow down, girl. So, I got home, quickly discovered that there is
nothing worth watching on daytime TV, and fell asleep for a good 3 hours. I woke up this morning feeling rested & refreshed.
The good news is that the 4th of July party was great - we had about 30 close family members/friends (our biggest party ever!) - and we enjoyed showing the house to everyone.

Looking back, I think I did overdo it a little bit and plan on spending more time listening to my body and relaxing when I need to. Our upcoming vacation will be just enough of a combination of relaxing & enjoying lots of fun in the happiest place on earth... with my guy who makes me the happiest
girl on earth!
