Tea Parties & Somersaults

Dear baby girl,

Today marks my 22nd week of pregnancy. I don't know where the time is going, but its speed is frightening me! Everyone says that once you're here, time will go even faster, so I've been finding myself simultaneously wishing for you to be here and wishing to be pregnant forever. (Although, if I'm being honest, I would most certainly prefer for you to be here!) I've been feeling you move around a lot lately. I've seen your movement on multiple ultrasounds but in the past couple of weeks I've been feeling your little kicks, flips, somersaults and cartwheels getting stronger & stronger each day. I hope this means that you will have some of your daddy's athletic abilities (since I have none) and might enjoy playing softball (or volleyball, or soccer, or any other sport). Just know that I will support whatever it is that you love!

On June 26 (3 weeks ago already!) I had my last ultrasound. You were so adorable, as usual, and posed in the cutest way - with your tiny pinky sticking straight up! Your daddy & I joked that you were having a tea party in the womb. If it's true that you're enjoying tea parties and somersaults in there, I worry that you'll never want to come out! But I promise that when you do, we can do both of those things (and so much more) together.
