Niagara Falls

Our weekend getaway to Niagara Falls came & went! We enjoyed our night away but realized something that we probably already knew but didn't admit to ourselves...

we are TOTAL homebodies.

Even though a 'getaway' is fun once in a while, we inevitably say, at least once, that we miss our home, our pets, our bed, our homecooking, etc. This trip was no different.

We also learned that, although we still enjoy Niagara Falls, it's not the same as it used to be. Somehow, getting away as a young, unmarried couple felt scandalous and thrilling in a way that it no longer does.

So enough complaining - because we really did enjoy our time together!

We had great conversation our our drive...

we saw the beautiful falls...

we went to the Casino (but sadly did NOT win big)...

and we were cheesy tourists.

Most importantly, though, we were together. And I'm finding that, more and more, I am appreciative of this fact.

Has anyone else had an experience of nostalgia fading?
