Sets of Fives

Today I am stealing a cute idea from Halie at Penguins, Pasta & Polka Dots, who posted her Sets of Fives earlier today! Enjoy!

Sets of FIVES

Five things you'll find in my purse...
1. Cash! (We've been on a cash only mostly kick for a while now.)
2. Sunglasses, even though I always forget to wear them.
3. Gum
4. A small notebook, because as much as I love my iPhone, I like the feeling of actually writing stuff down.
5. My inhalor. Thankfully, I don't use it too often, but it's there if I need it!

Five things you'll find in my bedroom...
1. Matching dressers (mine & my husband's) that used to be my grandma & grandpa's. They were a wedding gift after my grandma passed away a few years ago, and I never want to get rid of them!
2. A cedar chest that sits at the end of our bed. It's full of sheets and blankets that have the most amazing scent when we take them out of the chest!
3. Our bookshelf, which is pretty full of books, scrapbooks, yearbooks, old journals, etc... (it's literally busting at the seams!)
4. My knitting bag (which is successfully hidden beneath my husband's dresser).
5. Many miscellaneous  items that are shoved under the bed because there's nowhere else to put them!

Five things I've always wanted to do...
1. Be a mom
2. Own a house and make it a home.
3. Go to Ireland.
4. Have a family like the one in Brothers & Sisters and/or Parenthood (and I, by the way, am the matriarch of that family in my fantasty.)
5. Learn to speak another language.

Five random things I'm currently loving...
1. Edibles Restaurant, our new favorite restaurant in downtown that has amazing food and the cutest ambiance!
2. The fact that, after having fallen off the running bandwagon for way too long, I am slowly hopping back on - and it feels great.
3. My Disney Princess tissue box that is proudly displayed on my desk at work.
4. My more-active-than-usual social life.
5. LIFE. Seriously.

Five weird quirks I have...
1. I am emetophobic, meaning I have a phobia of vomit. Seriously. It sounds ridiculous, but it is awful, awful, awful to have a phobia like that :(
2. I'm a fast-talker. Very fast. Always have been, always will be.
3. I prefer volumes (TV, radio, etc.) to be on a multiple of 5. It really bothers me if it's not.
4. I make an obsessive number of lists, including lists of lists I should make.
5. When I go on evening walks, I love when I can see into people's windows. I realize how creepy this sounds, but it's really so that I can a) see how their furniture is arranged and b) so I can create a fictional storyline for the people's lives, based on their house.

Comments

  1. This is why we are best friends. I need to set anything on a timer for multiples of 5, and I creep in people's windows all the time (it's a problem)

    1. I love this comment! I'm the same way about volume (on the TV, on the radio, etc.) - I prefer it to be in multiples of 5, also! HA. So glad you're also a window creepr ;)
