May Blogging: the Conclusion

In an effort not to totally fail at blogging every day in May, here are some of what I've been missing:

Saturday -
Something someone told you about yourself that you'll never forget (good or bad).
I was once told that I was a "ray of sunshine" in the world. I quickly realized that indeed I could be, but only if I made an effort. At the end of the day, I choose to be the sunshine.

Sunday -
Something you read online. Leave a link and discuss, if you'd like.
I read a lot of people.com, due to my unhealthy obsession with celebrity gossip. There isn't much to discuss (except maybe how pathetic that makes me?)...

Monday -
A letter to your readers
Dear readers,

Thanks for stopping by. I don't know how many of you there actually are, but I do appreciate knowing that I'm not writing to absolutely no one. Even though this blog really is mostly for me (and my future children!), I am so thankful for support from the blogging community.

Love,
Emily

Tuesday -
Only pictures

Wednesday -
Five songs or pieces of music that speak to you or bring back memories. Use Grooveshark or YouTube to include them in the post
1. Alright by Darius Rucker - Reminds me of my life!
2. Home by Scott Alan (sung by Shoshana Bean) - One of the most beautiful songs ever written... and it has an entirely new meaning now that I'm expecting a baby!
3. Come Rain or Come Shine by Ray Charles - Our first dance at our wedding.
4. Smile by Judy Garland - It just speaks to me!!
5. You Are My Sunshine - Reminds me of my grandma :)

Thursday -
React to this term: Letting Go
I'm reminded of this quote: "Sometimes, you need to let go to make sure that there's still something left to hold onto." I think this quote, and the term "letting go," are applicable to all of us in one way or another. Sometimes creating a truly happy life means prioritizing and letting things go.

Friday -
A vivid memory
I remember being held by my grandma when I was young, maybe 2 or 3, on her porch (she had an enclosed porch that more or less served as a "play room" for her grandkids). I loved Winnie the Pooh and would watch VHS cartoons and she would pick me up, dance around the porch, and sing the "Winnie the Pooh" theme song with me. What a carefree, happy time that was!
